How to Take Care of Your Hair

Hair problems are one of the inevitable problems to each and every individual. Though it is very common, it has always been the major pricking thought among each and everyone, especially the teenagers and youngsters. These problems include dandruff, hair fall etc. There are numerous reasons that cause these problems. These problems have been more worrying because hair forms a part of attire and very important for good looking. Here are some of the steps to take care of your hair and prevent them from hair problems.

1. DRINK ADEQUATE WATER

Water is an essential nourishment for hair to grow and stay strong. So, it is very important to drink water that is required to meet your biological requirements regularly. About 2 litres of water per day is required for a human body.

2. AVOID SYNTHETIC METHODS ON YOUR HAIR

It is very important to understand that your hair is not something like clay to colour and reshape it as your wish. Certain chemicals that are present in synthetic hair colours and other styling gels destroys your hair and causes hair fall. So, it's better to avoid hair styling.

3. AVOID STRESS AND SLEEPLESSNESS

Tensions and stress also causes hair problems like hair fall and dandruff. So, it is very necessary to manage stress by practicing meditations, yoga and other exercises. It is equally important to have a sufficient sleep because sleeplessness in turn causes stress.

4. STAY AWAY FROM POLLUTION

Environment is full of harmful gases. It is better to keep ourselves way from pollution. But in today's way of living, it's impossible. So, cover your hair using any cloth to avoid any exposure to pollution.

5. HAVE A BALANCED DIET

Hair needs certain vitamins for its nourishment. So, it is important to see that you a take a balanced diet that fulfils all your biological requirements. Avoid eating junk foods too much.

6. PROPER HAIR CLEANING

An utmost care must be taken to clean our hair. See that you use those shampoos that suit your hair and avoid those shampoos and other conditioners that are allergenic. Also use shampoos and water in sufficient quantities. Use clean towels and combs. Wash them in hot water.

7. PROPER HAIR COLOURING

From teenagers to old aged people, pigment loss in hair has become very common and it gives an old aged look to youngsters also. So, hair colouring is inevitable for someone. Hence, it is very important to choose those colouring products that doesn't contain allergic chemicals.

8. TREATING HAIR BY METHODS OF 'AYURVEDA'

Ayurveda is a good approach for treatment of several hair problems without side effects. This method doesn't necessarily need medical supervision. The treatment will be through naturally occurring materials like aloe vera, bhringaaraj, jatamansi, neem leaves, coriander leaves etc. Certain prescribed solutions must be prepared by following proper stoichiometry and applied in necessary dosage. Using shikakai and soapnuts, instead of regular shampoo is also an ayurvedic practice.

9. CONSULTING A DERMATOLOGIST OR TRICHOLOGIST

In case of hair losses due to severe health problems or hereditary, it's better to consult a dermatologist or a trichologist for immediate medication through Allopathy. Also in case of hair losses due to radiotherapy treatments, allopathy is the only way. This medication will be through pills, shampoos and lotions that contain biocompatible chemicals.

Based upon the type and severity of problem, the solution has to be chosen. Some of these measures cannot be performed unless a special hour from our day to day life is allotted for it. This helps not only in taking care of them but also in protecting them.
